Come On Brogue

I am not going to harp on about the classic style that is the brogue I am however going to gush a bit about how much I love the fact that it is traditionally a Scottish shoe therefore my obsession is somewhat justified me being a Scots lass etc etc. My other half is also obsessed and can often be heard muttering about the comparisons between Grenson and Tricker the subtleties of these are missed by me as I am more concerned with the colours and styling possibilities. I recently purchased a very very favourably priced pair of blue suede brogues from an online giant and as much as I did like the colour the style was a bit too jazz shoe for my liking. A wee trip to Glasgow today and fate took hand leading me to these lovelies from Schuh which deliver in both sole and substance not to mention looks and styling possibilities (promise to share these in future ramblings). On first sight they appear purple but when placed next to purple they appear pink. I love them already and I can’t wait to take them on a wee trip this weekend to listen to some amazing folk music, drink some lovely cider and meet with some of my favourite people in Fife’s East Neuk at a wonderful meet called Home Game.

OOH! Coloured brogues are an investment and styling opps are endless – think of all the different socks you can team them with? I am a little obsessed by loafers just now…
